Elaine Willcox is a News Correspondent with GMTV, Europe’s biggest breakfast TV station. 

 

During her fifteen year career, Elaine has received numerous accolades for her news reporting including three Royal Television Society awards, the New York Film Festival Broadcast Silver Medal, an Amnesty International Commendation award and the coveted BAFTA for outstanding news coverage.

 

Elaine’s recent overseas assignments include the war in Afganistan, undercover reporting in China on The Morecambe Bay cockling tragedy and the sex trafficking trade in Eastern Europe.

 

Elaine is originally from Newcastle. She started her career as a reporter for BBC local radio in the North East and Cumbria. She has also worked for ITN News, BBC Network and Granada Reports.

 

Elaine has also interviewed two Prime Ministers - Tony Blair and John Major - and hundreds of celebrities including David and Victoria Beckham, Bond Girl Halle Berry and football legend George Best.

 

She now lives in Bolton with her husband Richard and their two sons Harry and James. Elaine's busy schedule doesn't allow for much free time but her hobbies include skiing, golf and keeping fit.

 

Elaine is in demand for presenting award ceremonies, chairing conferences and hosting event launches.
